Attorney Jamal Johnson
Attorney Jamal Johnson is an Associate at the Reaves Law Firm, PLLC. He is
licensed in Tennessee and his primary practice is personal injury.
Mr. Johnson grew up in Los Angeles, California, and attended Yale University,
where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in English. He also volunteered as a tutor and
mentor to New Haven elementary and middle school students.
Mr. Johnson later attended Yale Divinity School, where he was president of the
Yale Black Seminarians and earned a Masters of Divinity degree. He continued to
work with community youth through the local non-profit, Young Voices Initiative.
Mr. Johnson completed law school at New York University School of Law, where
he was an advocate for juvenile offenders in the Manhattan Family Court. Along
with his studies, he was a volunteer for the East Village Mentoring Program and a
member of the NYU Journal of Law and Social Change.
Mr. Johnson began his legal career in Memphis, first as a federal clerk for the
Honorable Bernie B. Donald in the U.S. District Court, then as an Associate for
Burch, Porter and Johnson PLLC. He also volunteered for Big Brothers Big Sisters
of the Mid-South.
In 2018, Mr. Johnson joined the Reaves Law Firm to lend his experience and
commitment to service to a team of dedicated attorneys who advocate fiercely for
the rights of those injured by the negligence of others.
