The person who wronged you may not listen to you. The insurance adjuster may not listen to you. The attorney that was hired to keep you from being paid may not listen to you. But they will listen to us!
Mr. Reaves received his Law degree from the Indiana University School of Law, Bloomington. While a student at Indiana University, Mr. Reaves exhibited that he was a Trial Lawyer at heart. He participated in moot court and received dean's honors numerous semesters; he externed at the Indianapolis prosecutor's office in a felony division and clerked for the Honorable Carr L. Darden of the Indiana Court of Appeals.
Mr. Reaves was the only individual in his graduating class to be selected for the school's external trial team as an underclassman. Mr. Reaves went on to become a valuable member, and later coach, of the Indiana University School of Law Trial Team as well as the Black Law Student Association Trial Team. For his passion and contribution to the trial program, Mr. Reaves was placed on the Order of the Barristers—an honor given to only ten students in a class of over 200.
Experience Working With Insurance Companies
Upon graduating from Law School, Mr. Reaves began working for one of the largest insurance defense firms in the South. His firm had several fortune 500 companies as clients. His primary concentration area was workers’ compensation and personal injury defense. Mr. Reaves also worked extensively with premises liability and general liability claims. During his time with the large insurance defense firm Mr. Reaves was given a priceless opportunity to see firsthand not only how insurance defense attorneys think, but also how the adjusters and insurance companies think and operate.
Desire to Help Those Who Have Been Wronged
Mr. Reaves was making a great salary and the firm was prospering. However, Mr. Reaves knew that he had to make a change. Mr. Reaves is extremely grateful for the opportunity he had to work for a premier defense firm and appreciative for the experience and mentors that helped mold him into the attorney he is today; however, Mr. Reaves felt in his heart that at the end of the day he was preventing injured people from receiving just compensation.
Mr. Reaves walked away from the large Insurance companies in order to be the voice for everyday men and women. He's prepared to use everything that he's learned to fight for you and help ensure that you receive the maximum compensation for your loss or injury.
